Os Extintos is a Brazilian rock band that aims to rekindle the flame of rock’s golden years. Inspired by bands such as Greta Van Fleet, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Led Zeppelin, their music is a rich tapestry of diverse influences that weaves together the unique essence and emotions of its members. Formed in the South of Brazil, the band began as a small project by a group of college friends. After experiencing the joy of playing their favorite rock songs, the group began writing their own songs, fusing their eclectic influences. Through their collaborative efforts, they found a distinct sound that would help them begin to pursue their ultimate goal: recapturing the essence of what makes rock great.

     Following the pandemic, Os Extintos regrouped and released their debut single, building a local following through pub shows and supporting larger bands. Their growing fan base would take a giant leap forward over the following year as their TikTok account went viral, leading to a massive growth in their social media presence. The popular support would help the band make their next big leap, winning first place in the contest to participate in the “Mundial Rock” festival after winning two rounds and leading the final race by over a thousand votes. This triumph allowed them to fulfill their dream of playing to an audience of tens of thousands of people at the most important rock festival in their state.

      With their energetic live shows and deep passion for rock, Os Extintos aim to touch the hearts of their audience, channeling emotions into heartfelt lyrics with universal and relatable themes. Their music builds bridges between classic and new sounds, individual and universal experiences, embracing the listener along the way.

      Os Extintos debuted in 2021 with their first single, paving the way for the release of the EP Don't Stop Rocking in 2022. In 2023, the band joined the Swedish label Rexius Records, starting a new phase with the single The Lonely Wolf, released in 2024. In the same year, the releases of Reset Your Hope and The Villain's Past marked another step towards the long-awaited album scheduled for 2025. Maintaining their mission to rescue the greatness of rock, Os Extintos remain firm on their trajectory, delivering energy, attitude and authenticity with each new sound.
